Water is the biggest enemy of wood. Absorbing and releasing water causes wood to swell and shrink, leading to substantial damage of the surface and structural integrity of the wood. This enables water to substantially accelerate the rotting process from the inside out.

All wood used for outdoor purposes should always be treated with a water-repellent impregnating agent or with a coating to protect it from weathering. Mostly, the effect of commonly used solutions, unlike Woodseal Pro wear off within a few years.

Can Woodseal Pro reduce the use of pestecides?

Yes. Using Woodseal Pro provides long-lasting protection against water and the damage it causes. Woodseal Pro makes wood completely waterproof, thus; algae, mold, fungus, mildew and dirt cannot develop on or in the wood. Which means that no biocides or pesticides need to be used anymore.

Will beading be visible right away?

Yes, but the beading effect becomes best visible after it has been exposed to the weather for a while. Thanks to the unique formula the beading will be visible for an extremely long time.

Does Woodseal Pro keep wood from graying?

Woodseal Pro does not prevent the natural weathering and aging process. Weathering and aging is caused by UV radiation. Woodseal Pro is transparent to UV radiation, but it helps the natural aging process to run more evenly.

Can wood be painted after impregnation with Woodseal Pro?

Wood treated with Woodseal Pro can be painted if some weathering of the impregnated wood is allowed first. However, one thing needs to be considered: smooth wooden materials will absorb less Woodseal Pro – the rest remains on the surface. As a result, and especially in the case of highly dense wood, paint adhesion may be restricted and leveling impaired. For this reason, Woodseal Pro should not be used as a primer.
